The COVID-19 crisis has wreaked havoc across the country and the world, especially in vulnerable, underserved communities. Black people are being infected with and dying from COVID-19 at disproportionately high rates, and there have been numerous reports of Black people reporting flu-like symptoms being turned away from both medical care and testing, often with fatal results. In San Francisco, Black people are less likely to have the supplies they need, to be able to stay at home, and to receive current and accurate information about safety procedures and testing.

Our all-volunteer team has been working tirelessly to provide aid for San Francisco’s Black community by distributing groceries, personal protective equipment (PPE), and testing and safety information, with a focus on seniors and the area’s most vulnerable residents.
